Below you will find useful information for both Seedlings and Saplings. If you need help with anything further please do not hesitate to ask a member of our EYFS team.

Autumn 1 Unit  - Being Special: Where do we belong?

In this unit, the children will reflect upon the things that are special to them and why they value these things. They will learn about key religious symbols for Christians, Muslims and Hindus and will find out why many Christians believe that children are special to God. They will also learn about the welcoming ceremonies that many Muslims and Christians have for their new baby. They will consider ways of showing that people are special from other religions e.g Hinduism: the story of Hindus celebrating Raksha Bandhan.
