We are holding open days! Please spread the word to anyone who is looking for school and nursery places in 2023. We also have places available currently in our nursery and Reception classes.

We hope you have enjoyed a lovely summer break and the children are looking forward to starting school for the first time or returning to school after attending nursery, we certainly are! You will find lots of information regarding topics, general information and key dates in the Autumn Newsletter which you will find below. Please take the time to have a look.

Arrival and Finish Times

Nursery/Seedlings Arrival Time8.30am and 12.30pm afternoon children 
Nursery/Seedlings Collection Time3.30pm
Reception/Saplings Arrival Time8.45am
Reception/Saplings Collection Time3.25pm


Arrival and collection points for Seedlings will be the main entrance to the unit located opposite the main school reception.


Saplings will arrive at the main entrance and be collected at the classroom door leading onto the main playground.

Our topic for the next half term is 'It's Good to be Me'


We follow the Revised Foundation Stage Curriculum 2021 which is currently split into 7 areas:

Communication and Language

Physical Development

Personal, Social and Emotional Development



Understanding the World

Expressive Arts and Design



Seedlings- In the Seedlings we will be following Phase 1, Experiencing Phonics. The children will take part in daily activities taken from the seven strands which are:

Environmental Sounds

Instrumental Sounds


Rhythm and Rhyme


Voice Sounds

Oral Blending and Segmenting

Saplings- In the Saplings we will be settling in and revisiting aspects of phase 1 in the first two weeks. We will be beginning Phase 2 at the beginning of week 3. A parents meeting to explain teaching of early reading and writing will be held in October. 



Seedlings- The focus this half term is ''

Saplings- The focus this half term is 'Number and Place Value to 5'. 



This half term our themes for RE will be 'I am Special' and 'Harvest'.



EdStart will be continuing to working with our children each Thursday morning. Sapling children will not require a PE during the first half term. Seedlings do not need a PE kit but are able to come to school in their trainers on Thursdays.
