Following the announcement this evening by the Prime Minister, our school will not now reopen to children, as we hoped, tomorrow.
Those who can work from home are now expected to do so.
During the previous period of lockdown, which started in March 2020, we compiled a list of parents who identified themselves to school as key workers. I still have the list and registers of the children who accessed the emergency provision then. If you have previously accessed this provision and need to again, then your child/ren can come to school tomorrow.
If you have not yet contacted school about your key worker status, please do so tomorrow- with some verification of this, we will then look to accommodate your child/ren from Wednesday.
I will contact the few additional families who accessed the emergency provision previously tomorrow.
Teachers will have time to prepare and set remote learning on class pages tomorrow, ready to be accessed by pupils on Wednesday.
These are extraordinary times, with extraordinary situations to deal with. We have coped as a school community admirably so far, your support is always appreciated.
