Funded holiday club spaces for children on free school meals


As part of the Bury council holiday activities and food programme - we have fully funded places on our forest camp holiday club over the summer. To be eligible for a funded place:

  • Children must be residents of Bury
  • Children must be in receipt of free school meals

The funded places includes a full week of activities at our forest camp holiday club site in Bury and a packed lunch.

The Met’s Drama Summer School is back for 2021!

This is a fun packed three day programme where children work with a professional team to create and stage their own devised show. 

It’s a great opportunity for children to develop new skills, discover and nurture talents, make friends and, most importantly, have load of fun.

Summer Holiday Tennis Camps 2021


Dear Parent,


Due to the huge success of summer holiday tennis camps hosted by Hawkshaw Tennis Club over the last 19 years, Lisa Cartwright and Rachel Thomas (LTA qualified coaches – including DBS and first aid certificates) will again be organising and delivering courses at the club throughout summer of 2021.  Each course will be 5 days, Monday to Friday, unless otherwise stated.


Course Dates:


  • August 2nd – 6th
  • August 9th – 13th
  • August 16th – 20th
  • August 23rd – 27th


Session/Time Options:


Mornings: 9.00am - 11.45am / Afternoons: 12.30pm - 3.15pm / Full days: 9.00am - 3.15pm




A weeks full day course : £90.00 for club members / £100.00 for non-members.

A weeks half day course (either morning or afternoon) : £55 members / £60 non-members.

Daily rate : £25.00 per child per full day. Half day rate : £15.00 per child per half day.


Lunch & Snacks:


Children taking part in full day sessions must bring a packed lunch each day, full supervision will be provided during the lunch break. There will also be a number of short breaks throughout the day during which children will be encouraged to take a drink and snack if required; a small tuck shop is available at these times where light refreshments will be available to purchase.


Please note: In the event of bad weather making conditions unsuitable for play, supervision is given at all times and activities will be available in the gazebo or, if prevailing Covid restrictions allow, in the clubhouse. Similarly, prevailing social distancing measures will be adhered to where required.




Applications will be accepted on a ‘first come first served’ basis. If the course that you apply for is full, we will contact you to offer alternatives. If you would like to enrol your child onto any of the courses please email Lisa on stating which week/s you would like. Lisa will send an email reply to confirm your child’s place on the course and she will provide you with payment details. Places will only be secured when payment is received.
