I wanted to update you, following my letter last week about the current Covid situation in school. Luckily the EYFS staff have all been able to return and Cabin Crew provision for them was resumed on Tuesday. Whilst the number of children off in school has declined since last week, we still have twelve Covid cases in children today and this has risen from yesterday- in Cedar class particularly.
Two staff members have tested positive today, so we may be in for another rise in cases. Both these staff members work in Cabin Crew- we will endeavour to cover their absence and keep Club going, however sessions may be impacted next week.
Please do continue to test your child with a LFT regularly and if they are poorly with cold-like symptoms, an upset stomach or the usual Covid symptoms of temperature, cough, loss of taste or smell. Keeping your child off school for 48 hours having been ill with anything, also helps stop any kind of infection spreading. Clearly there is some spreading of the virus to staff and pupils whilst they are in school, despite the cleaning, ventilation and hygiene measures we have in place.
