Jubilee Events 13-17th June

We have chosen the week of 13th-17th June to be our Jubilee week, the children will be learning about the life of Queen Elizabeth 11 and the decades of her reign.




Monday 13th June (and other days)

A royal themed ‘pebble-hunt’ will be set up around the school grounds for children to take part.

Tuesday 14th June

Children can pay £1 to enter a Jubilee Bake-Off and bring in their cake offerings. Each class will have a winner selected by the Value Ambassadors and School Council. They will receive a certificate and small prize. The cakes will then be sold at the end of the day.

Wednesday 15th June

Dress -like royalty’ non-uniform day or wear red, white and blue £1

Thursday 16th June

We will be joining with schools across Greater Manchester to sing the specially written Jubilee song- ‘A Life of Grace’ at 2.15pm.

Friday 17th June

EYFS will have a tea party and a picnic lunch

All children will eat their lunch outside as a picnic- school dinners will be provided in a patriotic picnic box.

Please lend us your picnic blankets/rugs for this.

Jubilee concerts and tea parties:

Mrs Geelan is helping to teach some patriotic songs and songs from the decades the Queen has reigned and we would like to invite parents to a short concert and tea party!

KS1 9.15-10am

Year 3 and 4   10.30-11.15am

Year 5 and 6    2.30-3.15pm

We can fit in one adult per child for the concert and tea party. The tickets will be £2, infants can be brought along. Any spare tickets will be made available.
