We had a fantastic response to our Harvest appeal for dry food, tins, packets and toiletries. We held an enjoyable assembly on Friday afternoon to consider the gifts of God at Harvest time and to celebrate the gifts we had brought in which will go to make a huge difference to the lives of local families in need.
At Christ Church on Sunday, members of our choir (led by Mrs Geelan) sang two lovely songs as part of their Harvest service. The church was laden with not only the gifts of food from school but also from the congregation and fresh fruit and vegetables donated by Netveg Ltd. The money raised from donations for the fresh food and all the produce brought in, will go to support Porch Boxes - a local church run food bank, helping around 450 households in Bury each month.
Thank you to everyone who donated items and to the choir for singing beautifully.
