Covid Infections in School

Tuesday 18th January 2022

We are currently experiencing a sharp rise in Covid cases in school, which is impacting on staffing levels.Today seven staff are positive, who work in EYFS and KS1. We are following advice from the DFE and local Public Health Team and endeavouring to keep classes open but supply staff are very difficult to source. Mrs Johnson and myself are covering classes also.

Nineteen children across the school but mainly in EYFS and KS1 are positive and in total 33 children are absent today.

Please use Lateral flow tests on your child before they come to school, especially if they are in EYFS and KS1 (I know these can be difficult to administer) and do not send your child into school if they are unwell with any symptoms or positive.

Thank you for your support in working with us to try to minimise further spread within school.
