I'm Mark Granby and I have been a governor at Christ Church since 2001 (when my son started at the school). Both of my children have had the benefit of attending the school so I know what a special place it is as they both have very fond memories of their time here.
I was elected as Chair of Governors back in 2007 and have invested time in developing my effectiveness as a governor. I am now a designated National Leader of Governance. I served for 30 years as a police officer in GMP, retiring in 2014. I now run my own business offering consultancy services in safeguarding and governance.
Away from work I enjoy family life and I'm involved in Bury Athletic Club where I'm the Chairman. I still like to run to keep fit but I also cycle and walk our dog. I also volunteer as a governor at Bury College and help out at our church, St Anne's in Tottington.
